Inclusive Language: Allyship and Awareness
This workshop provides a safe and inclusive space for participants to learn about the diverse experiences and challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals. Topics covered include terminology and language sensitivity, the impact of societal norms and stereotypes, and strategies for promoting inclusivity in personal and professional environments.
Our two-hour online workshop will help participants gain practical skills and insights to become effective allies. They will learn how to recognize and challenge discrimination, support LGBTQIA+ rights and visibility, and contribute to creating a more inclusive and affirming community. Participants are anonymous to encourage an open dialogue for all questions so that they may be discussed, and resources for further understanding may be shared.
By the end of the workshop, participants will leave with a deeper understanding of queer identities, strengthened allyship skills, and a commitment to fostering respect and acceptance for all individuals regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
